GSM is short
form of “Gram per Square Meter”. GSM is
the weight in gram per square meter in fabric. GSM is a very important
parameter of specified a certain quality of knitted fabric. The production
calculated in “Weight” for knitting. GSM Cutter is very popular & easy
usable instrument in all knit factory. But, now we learn How to be calculating
Fabric GSM without GSM Cutter.
Suppose,
We have 4*2 Yds
fabric which that weight is 2 Kg.
So, we know,
1 inch = 2.54
cm
36 inch =
36*2.54 = 91.44 cm
2 yards = 91.44
* 2 = 182.88 cm / 100 = 1.8288 mm
4 yards = 91.44
* 4 = 365.76 cm / 100 = 3.6576 mm
Total Area = 4
yards * 2 yards = 1.8288 * 3.6676 = 6.68901888 m2
Now, 2 kg = 2 *
1000 gm = 2000 gm
So,
6.68901888 m2 =
2000 gm
GSM = 2000 /
6.68901888 = 298.997 ~ 299
Great to see such kind of calculation. Thanks
ReplyGeo bags, also known as geotextile bags, are specialized fabric containers designed for soil stabilization, erosion control, and shoreline protection. Made from high-strength woven or nonwoven geotextile materials, these bags are filled with sand or soil and placed in areas prone to erosion. They offer an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for infrastructure projects, especially in coastal and riverbank applications Geobags Exporters in Ahmedabad blend seamlessly into natural surroundings while reinforcing embankments and reducing environmental damage.
